The structure of a plant photosystem I supercomplex at 3.4 [Angstrom] resolution
Article Abstract:
The structure of plant photosystem I (PSI) at 3.4 Angstrom resolution is described, which has revealed 17 protein subunits. The PSI has displayed a quantum yield of nearly 1 and the structural information has helped in understanding how the unprecedented high quantum-yield of PSI in light capturing and electron transfer is achieved.

Cyclic electron flow around photosystem I is essential for photosynthesis
Article Abstract:
The importance of cyclic flow for efficient photosynthesis is examined. Photosynthesis provides at least two routes through which light energy is used for generation of proton gradient across the thylakoid membrane of chloroplasts that is used to synthesize ATP.
